LIGHTS OFF  | LIGHTS ON

View “Seven Hollows Fungi by Zack Andrews” on Flickr.

Caden and I, a while back, took a short trip up to Petit Jean to hike the Seven Hollows Trail. It was a great hike and had a lot of neat things to see. One of the most interesting aspects of the hike was the Grotto. There is a small outcropping with a waterfall about halfway through the trail, and it made for some really cool photos; photos you can see in my panoramas section. Those were the highlight immediately after the trip, however, I was perusing through those photos the other night and found this one.

It’s a cool fungus formation growing on a tree stump. I think the photo popped, just because of the orientation of the fungus, the color, and the fact that it was tack sharp. I just love the dark greens and dark browns and then the pop of orange in the middle.

Hope you guys enjoy it too =)

Have a great Tuesday!
