Posted April 5, 2012The UCA Business & Information Technology (BIT) Club is having its final meetings of the semester on Tuesday and Thursday (April 10th and April 12th), during X-period (1:40 - 2:30 p.m.).
The events, which are open to all majors on campus, will be held in the College of Business Auditorium (Rooms 107/208).
On Tuesday we welcome Woody Chin, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Dillard’s Department Stores in Little Rock. In addition to our regular refreshments and door prizes, we are also giving away an iPod Nano!
On Thursday we are pleased to welcome Levey L. Williams from the corporate offices of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville. Levey is a Recruiter (Campus Relations) for Wal-Mart’s Information Services Division.
These gentlemen are two of the highest marquee speakers that the BIT Club has ever had the pleasure of hosting.
We will have our once-per-semester PIZZA bash on Thursday, elect officers for next year, and discuss our upcoming field trip to the Dillard’s Data Center in Little Rock on April 17th.
Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded at both events.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.

13 March - Attorney General’s Office

The event, which will be held in the College of Business Auditorium (Rooms 107/208) during X-period (1:40 - 2:30 p.m.), is open to all majors on campus.
Phi Beta Lambda is co-hosting the event.
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Stephen Svetz from the Attorney General’s Office as our featured speaker. Mr. Svetz will be speaking on Identity Theft and will offer valuable insights from his experience working for the state of Arkansas.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.

The event, which will be held in the College of Business Auditorium (Rooms 107/208) during X-period (1:40 - 2:30 p.m.), is open to all majors on campus.
Ms. Allison Nicholas, Team Leader for College Recruiting/University Relations at Acxiom, will be the featured speaker.
Acxiom hires more college graduates from UCA than any other school in the state, plus they sponsor the BIT Club.
Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.

14 Feb - First Spring 2012 BITClub Meeting!
Posted February 6, 2012The Business & Information Technology (BIT) Club is having its Spring Welcome Meeting and Kick-Off on Tuesday, February 14th.
The event, which will be held in the College of Business Auditorium (Rooms 107/208) during X-period (1:40 - 2:30 p.m.), is open to all majors on campus.
Mark Rippy and Russ Aikman, both of Arkansas Best Freight System, Inc. will be the featured speakers.
From its origin as a small local carrier in 1923, ABF Freight System, Inc. has been transformed into one of North America’s largest and most experienced motor carriers, offering direct service to all 50 states, nine Canadian provinces, Guam and Puerto Rico.
Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.
